My Mission
My mission is to provide a down to earth, culturally competent approach to therapy to meet the needs of the men and women of color that I work with. I hope to provide the safe space that allows for organic, honest and transformative communication and healing to take place.
Meet Your Therapist!
Hey! I’m Brianna!
Therapist, Founder & Owner
I am the owner and founder of Talks That Heal, LLC. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Then I attended Bowie State University where I graduated with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) degree from Stevenson University.
I like to take a more natural approach to therapy. I provide therapy through authentic and engaging conversations. I utilize a person centered approach and psychodynamic approach to therapy to address issues of the past and present as well as meet the style and personality of the clients. Though I can work with anyone, I specialize in working with individuals and couples who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. As a conversationalist, I value healthy and transparent communication and strive to help my clients increase self-expression, communication and relational development.

My Approach
When I work with clients, first and foremost, I aim to connect with my clients. I don’t subscribe to a one size fits all approach to therapy. I believe each person is unique and how I work with them will be an individualized approached that meets their unique personality, challenges, needs and goals. I like to take an integrated approach to therapy which means I am liable to incorporate different therapeutic approaches.
